Lighter Trúc Phương Trương’s reflections on the first Light One Cần Thơ – Light Day 11.6
I don't even know what caption to give this status
Since noon, I have remained deeply moved by the clothes brought to my home for the Light One project. Each item was carefully and neatly tied like a gift, with labels noting its type and the body weight it would fit. I think that if I were receiving these clothes, I would cry. I would find even more motivation to work toward a better life so that one day I too could share love with others with such care and kindness.
Ever since the call for the ONE MILLION CLOTHES OF LOVE project, every time I receive a bag of clothes brought by the mothers, I am moved to tears…
This afternoon, someone from the logistics team called to ask whether I had any clothes yet so they could collect them and take them to the central warehouse. I said there were not many yet and it would be a wasted trip, so they should wait a few days and collect everything at once. They said they would come now so the others could sort and organize the clothes, rather than letting the work pile up and make things harder for them.
I feel positive, loving energy flowing through my whole body. Everyone is pouring their heart and effort into the project, thinking of one another and supporting one another because we know
– People in difficult circumstances need us
– children with leukemia need us
And the ultimate purpose is to share love with such genuine kindness!
Thank you, YUP, for bringing such wonderful people to the community!
