ANGELS….. WITHOUT WINGS
I cannot think of words to describe them more fittingly than #Angel . People small in stature but with so much Kindness within them.
They are willing to carry 20–30kg bags of clothes from their hometowns all the way to the satellite collection points.
They are willing to thoroughly clean and tidy the Main Warehouse to ensure that every garment reaches its recipient in the most considerate way.
They are willing to sit up at midnight, folding every shirt… every pair of trousers as neatly as possible.
They are willing to take responsibility for collecting clothes without yet knowing where the pickup location is, how far away it is, or whether there are few items or many—even in Cần Thơ's rainy weather at the moment.
It did not stop there: the way they called on friends and family to help collect clothing was even more wonderful.
All of them. Those kind people deserve appreciation and affection. I feel truly lucky to know them and join them in such meaningful work.
There are still so… so many good, kind people in this society. Suddenly, I feel so small.
And suddenly, the image of workers with faces radiant with happiness, holding clothes at very reasonable “prices,” and children with leukemia receiving treatment and growing healthier has motivated me every day since Light One began.
Thank you, angels without wings, for helping me have even more faith in and love for this life.
