Lightone “1,000,000+ Items of Clothing with Love” is a project calling for donations of used clothing to bring more warmth to those who need it. The program's mission is to connect people who have unused clothing with those who desperately need clothes in good condition. With the message “Make Vietnam a better place to live”, we hope to kindle and spread the flame of love to every home.
After the donation collection period from 01–07/04, the most special event of the Lightone project will take place: the Lightday Clothing Sharing Festival. So, what do you know about this event?

Information about the Lightday Clothing Sharing Festival
The Lightday clothing-sharing festival is a new way to offer support and share love by selling the clothes you donate at a flat price. For just VND 2,000 per item, recipients can obtain 4–8 items of clothing that match their wishes and needs.
The proceeds from this event will create a scholarship fund for diligent students and people with disabilities in especially difficult circumstances at universities, disability centers, and elsewhere.
This also provides medical support for children with leukemia, whose monthly blood transfusions cost VND 1–5 million per child per month. Timely assistance greatly helps parents gain more time to prepare financially and be better prepared for the following year.
What you need to know about Lightday:
– Organizational model: a fair with 50 stalls (estimated 20,000 items per stall).
– Exchange Method: a flat price of VND 2,000 per item.
– Time: from 8:00 to 17:00, Sunday (April 8, 2018).
– Location: Sadeco worker housing, Tân Thuận Export Processing Zone, Lot X01-06, Bùi Văn Ba Street, Tân Thuận Đông Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
5 “plus points” of the Lightday event
- An event that transfers donated clothing to the right recipients, on a large scale and with equally great significance.
- People in need can receive items with the joy of “buying” rather than “being given” something.
- Reduce the waste of clothes currently sitting idle and unused, putting them toward a greater purpose.
- Bring people closer together and create more activities that strengthen community bonds. Through the fair model, donors can personally hand clothes to the sellers.
- Raise funds to help students overcome hardship to attend school and support child patients in difficult circumstances.

With these 5 “pluses,” why hesitate? Come to the Lightday Clothing Sharing Festival, an activity bringing tremendous value to the community. Remember to share this information with family and friends so we can act together to “make Vietnam a place worth living”!
