Light Charity is an organization connecting charitable work with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), made up of dynamic young people who aspire “Make Vietnam a Better Place to Live.”
With the mission of sharing the clothing of giver to the right person in need, thereby reducing the waste in the present and raise awareness save in the future, combined with annual fundraising help disadvantaged students overcome hardship, the “Light Charity” project – 1.000.000 + Clothes of Love” was born. With an organizing team of 60 members and 500+ volunteers, the project still needs more helping hands and community-minded volunteers to join the organizing committee in bringing its mission to life.
So, friends! Become a generous “Light-er,” sharing love with people you have never met or known so that the program's meaningful message spreads throughout Vietnam.
Schedule for the Light Charity program:
- From 01/04/2018–07/04/2018: accepting donations. Currently, we have had more than 70 clothing collection points across 24 districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
- 07/04/2018: Tallying and reporting quantities. The current estimate is +1.00.000 donated clothing items.
- 8:00–17:00 on Sunday (April 8, 2018): A fair with 50+ stalls (estimated: 20,000 items per stall)

Light Charity is very proud that this charity project has received, and continues to receive, so much support. We must also mention the students who enthusiastically became Lighters, serving as collection hubs across Ho Chi Minh City and helping clothes “find a safe destination” on their journey to “people in need.”
