GIẤC MƠ ĐÔI CHÂN THIÊN THẦN FUND ACTIVITY REPORT – DISBURSEMENT TO SUPPORT 15 CHILDREN WITH LEUKEMIA
Positive signs for the health of disadvantaged children with leukemia emerged this past July. We are grateful for the resources that have helped these children live better, fuller lives and enjoy a healthy childhood.
Specifically, on behalf of the Givers, charitable organizations, and Lighters, the Giấc Mơ Đôi Chân Thiên Thần (GMĐCTT) Fund disbursed VND 20 million to the families of 15 children in July. This is the first disbursement, beginning the Fund's long-term support over 1–2 years, with monthly assistance of VND 1–3 million depending on each child's condition and circumstances. The Fund has earmarked VND 222 million for this activity over one year, ensuring sustained support and accompanying the children as they grow healthier every day. The Fund will seek and receive information about disadvantaged children with leukemia nationwide through Yuppies, Lighters, connectors, and other sources. After receiving information, a Fund representative will contact the child's family to (1) verify the information, with practical assistance from local Yuppies/Lighters to ensure support reaches the right recipients; and (2) learn more about the child's current health, treatment, family circumstances, and other details needed to develop an appropriate support plan. The Fund can support children whose treatment is stable and whose blood transfusion costs are 1–2 million per month.
Verified details of the children receiving support have been published on the Fund's website: http://giacmodoichanthienthan.com/danh-sach-cac-benh-nhi-v…/. Among them, 6 children receive 1-to-1 support from 6 benefactors for 1 year, totaling 12–24 million/year.
Contributions from benefactors and regional Yuppies communities nationwide, together with proceeds and sponsorship received through Light Charity, will be transferred to the Fund. The Fund will provide support to the children based on a clear understanding of their circumstances and suitable assistance plans, making monthly disbursements to their families and publishing detailed reports on its website. The Fund disburses 1–3 million each month because: (1) this supports blood transfusion costs of 1–3 million or equivalent monthly expenses; (2) it avoids the possibility of parents, anxious out of love for their children or for other reasons, using a lump-sum payment unwisely; and (3) it ensures long-term support for expenses directly helping improve the children's health.
