Instead of being thrown away, old clothes can still bring the value of sharing when given to people who need them. Beyond Giving and Receiving, old clothing can also create an annual source of funding to support children with leukemia.

The “1,000,000+ Garments of Love” Journey
Light Charity is an organization of dynamic young people, young entrepreneurs, office workers, and students who aspire to “Make Vietnam a Better Place to Live.” Light Charity operates according to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) standards.
Goal:
– Help deliver donors' clothes to the right recipients who need them.
– Help people in need receive items with the joy of purchasing them rather than being given handouts. All donated items are exchanged at 2.000 VND/1 item (shirts, trousers, jackets…)
– Raise funds to help children with leukemia.
Activities:
– Mobilize and collect clothing donations.
– Organize Light Day – a clothing-sharing festival with 50 stalls and thousands of people coming to share and receive.
– Transfer the model to all localities nationwide in 2018, followed by the “Clothes of Love Festival” across Vietnam's 63 provinces and cities.

Humanity in the culture of Giving and Receiving
Beyond their social purpose, Light Charity's social projects also seek to convey a message about humanity in the culture of giving and receiving. So, whenever possible, give thoughtfully, respectfully, and with understanding
A few tips on the program's sorting and organizing process:
– Please wash the clothes and fold them neatly. If you can add 1 little touch of fragrant fabric softener, the recipients will be delighted.
– Donated clothing must still be in good usable condition, not too old, torn, or faded.
– Sort items clearly without mixing them up.
By taking just a few minutes to prepare, you increase the value of your gift and make our community work more meaningful. Thank you so much for joining Light Charity in creating sincere and practical care. As of 31/3, the program had received more than 14,000 donated items of clothing.
Clothing collection points are now available across 24h districts in Ho Chi Minh City. To donate, see the link: https://goo.gl/pKrSnL or Fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/LightCharity.org/
