Light Charity: Who are we?
Established in 2018, Light Charity brings together energetic young people, young entrepreneurs, and office workers and students eager to “make Vietnam a better place to live.” Light Charity operates according to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) standards.
Mission
Light Charity believes that as volunteering, social work, and community projects expressing the spirit of mutual care and support become more widespread, we need a more appropriate approach to how we think about and practice charity in Vietnam. We value compassionate hearts, but kindness needs to reach the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
We must go beyond giving whatever we have, filling shortages, and providing what is needed. At the same time, to limit isolated and short-term activities, relief work needs to be mutually supportive, based on needs and human rights, and harmoniously coordinated to avoid waste and unfairness.

Light Two
Build Schools for Children is a project established to advance education in remote areas by redesigning, repairing, and upgrading facilities at disadvantaged school sites.
The project aims to reduce school dropout rates among children in disadvantaged communities. The main factors preventing them from attending school are not local customs or economic reasons, but barriers involving learning conditions, resources, and teachers.
Current situation
The school site is 8km from the center of Quảng Ngãi Province. Children travel 4–5km from home to school along difficult routes that cross a river.
Built long ago, in 2003, the school has 02 deteriorating classrooms with leaks and cement floors, sunken entrance steps, no toilets, and a makeshift mesh gate.
Land for construction
A 718.7 m2 plot was allocated for construction with approval from Sơn Hà authorities and Phùng Tô Long, Deputy District Chairman.
Construction design
Rank item includes 2 classrooms, each representative achievement 40m2; area area level threshold, three level before 2 room learn and area area room protection student.
The design was created by Trần Trí Thanh, an architect at ANP Interior, and Yuppie Trần Anh Tùng, a YUP Education student, and adjusted by the contractor to suit the terrain
Construction plan
The Sơn Hà local government is providing 15% in counterpart funding.
Each student's parents contribute 3 days of labor as construction helpers.
Legal matters and local support
On 21/01/2019, the local authorities of Sơn Hà District confirmed the following 3 points:
1. Agree to accept support from the Light Two – Building Schools for Children project to construct a school site in Sơn Bao Commune, Sơn Hà District, Quảng Ngãi Province.
2. Agree to implement the project according to the Light Two Building Schools for Children construction plan, at the location jointly surveyed by both parties.
3. The local authorities of Sơn Hà District will provide support, coordinate efforts, and resolve difficulties and obstacles during implementation so the Light Two – Building Schools for Children project team can complete construction on schedule, ensuring quality and effective use.
